The Pursuit

The Pursuit started as a multi-thousand mile journey across the US by Ben Lebovitz in 2015. Along the way, he sought to capture moments and document the journey of over 30 different artisans across the United States. While the success of each of these individuals is extraordinary, it is ultimately the collision of paths that have allowed for these dreams to succeed. It’s more than just the destination, it’s the journey.
The Pursuit is a large format book set to be published in 2019. Caris is currently working on co-authoring and designing with Ben, while traveling to continue interviewing makers.

Protean Magazine was founded in 2018 as an independent, left-wing, ad-free magazine of fiction, poetry, critical essays, and art. Caris serves as the art director- running the design aspects of the magazine, while also providing original content, illustrations, and graphics.. Protean is a non-profit, who’s goal is to provide compensation for both budding and established writers.
